Sample wording for Privacy Policy
We’ve developed the following wording to support clients seeking sample language for what they might want to put into their Privacy Policy with regards to the use of TickX on their website.
⚠️ Disclaimer: The below standard privacy policy wording is draft guidance that may be used as part of your privacy policy to assist in your compliance with data protection legislation.
The wording relates solely to the TickX functionality that allows you to create segmented audiences to inform future targeted campaigns at ‘lookalike’ audiences, and to send reminder emails to abandoned baskets. It is not meant to be the entirety of your privacy policy and may need to be tailored in order to work with your existing privacy policy. It is for guidance only.
TickX accepts no liability for your data protection compliance and you should obtain your own legal advice on your policies, procedures and assessments (including requirements for any legitimate interests assessments). In particular, our guidance wording does not deal with the sending of direct marketing to individuals, in relation to which there are specific legal requirements. You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate notices and consents in place for any direct marketing that you intend to send to individuals.
Guidance wording for TickX segmented audience and abandoned basket functionality:
When you go through our ticket purchasing process, we will collect personal data about you. This may include information such as your name, date of birth, location, what you purchased, what you viewed, when you made any purchase, as well as any other information you provide or input.
We use the personal data you provide to understand our audiences, their preferences and conversion rates, and we may use it to inform our service and marketing campaigns, for example by creating ‘typical’ audiences for our shows to inform future marketing campaigns to ‘lookalike’ audiences. We do this on the basis that it is in our legitimate interests to do so, and such legitimate interests are not outweighed by your interests, rights or freedoms. If you abandon a basket mid-purchase, we may email you to remind you that you have not completed your basket.
We do this in order to ensure that our customers are aware they have not completed their purchase, and such emails will not include any marketing communications. We do this on the basis that it is in our legitimate interests to do so, and such legitimate interests are not outweighed by your interests, rights or freedoms.
