The rise of trip- Hop was heavily driven by the pioneering force ‘Massive Attack' there innovation and influence played a key role of their generations love and success of trip hop. Massive attacks hypnotic sound layered with a dark sensual and cinematic fusion of hip hop rhythms, dub grooves soulful melodies and particular samples set the bar for much of the dance music to emerge throughout the 90s. There intelligent integration of Punk, Reggae R&B saw the success expand fast throughout the Bristol club scene, becoming so popular that live events would come to a halt due to overcrowded stages.
