Genesis formed at Charterhouse School in Godalming, Surrey in 1967. They recorded their debut album From Genesis to Revelation in 1968, following it with 1970's Trespass. Recruiting singer and drummer Phil Collins, the prog rockers first found success in the early 1970s. 1973's Selling England by the Pound, spawned their first UK top 30 single 'I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)'. Tickets for Genesis' first transatlantic tour went on sale in 1974.
Following Peter Gabriel's departure, Collins took over as lead singer in 1975. The band's transition to pop rock and soft rock saw them find a much larger audience with UK No. 1 albums like Duke, Abacab and Genesis. By the mid-1980s, they were huge, especially in the US. 1986's Invisible Touch spawned five US top five singles, hitting No. 1 with the album's title track. Genesis' resulting world tour sold out tickets for four shows at Wembley Stadium.
Collins left Genesis in 1996, leaving the remaining members to record 1997's Calling All Stations. The band then went on hiatus, reforming briefly for a 2006-07 tour of Europe and North America. Now Collins and the band are reuniting one last time for The Last Domino? Tour.
This reunion tour is sure to bring back all your favourite Genesis songs from their six UK chart topping albums like 'Mama', 'Follow You Follow Me', 'No Son Of Mine' and 'I Can't Dance'.
