This Australian pop rock band have taken the world by storm with their fresh take on music. They formed in Sydney in 2011 and began posting videos of themselves covering popular songs together on Luke Hemmings' YouTube channel. They quickly found success online, and were soon writing their own music, releasing their first single ‘Out of My Limit’ the next year, with support from One Direction superstar Niall Horan tweeting out the video. Together the band is made up of Hemmings (lead vocals & rhythm guitar), Michael Clifford (lead guitar & vocals), Calum Hood (bass) and Ashton Irwin (drum & keyboard). The four young men cite their musical influences as McFly, Busted, Green Day and Blink-182. In 2014, the band announced that they were creating their own label, Hi or Hey Records, whom they now release all their music through in conjunction with Capitol Records, as well as signing their own artists, like pop rock band Hey Violet.
