Charli XCX’s music spans all types of pop, from experimental, to electro, dark and gothic. She began making music as a young teen, recording an album with help from her parents and uploading songs to MySpace. After appearing illegal warehouse raves and parties in London, the young British singer signed a deal with Asylum Records in 2010.
Her breakthrough hit was the 2012 single “I Love It”, co-writing and contributing vocals to the Swedish Duo Icona Pop’s song. Later that year she released her own single “You’re the One”, reaching #1 on the UK Singles Chart and being named as one of Billboard’s Best Songs of 2012.
She debuted with her first studio album ‘True Romance’ in 2013, and released her second, entitled ‘Sucker’ the next year, and has supported acts like Ellie Goulding, Halsey, Sia, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift on their world tours.
