Beverley Knight is a soul singer from Wolverhampton, inspired by many of the greats such as Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin. She began her career in the early 90s, releasing her critically acclaimed debut album ‘The B-Funk’ in 1995, but it wasn’t until the early 2000s that she broke through into the mainstream with her third album ‘Who I Am’.
Following its release Knight began to gain traction in the music industry, earning three MOBO Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Urban Music. In 2006 she supported Take That on tour, and starred in the BBC music TV series ‘Just the Two of Us’. She has also supported Prince during his residency at The O2 in London, and was invite to his Oscars after party in America to perform for the likes of Quincy Jones.
