About Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys are British indie rock's biggest darlings. Known for singer Alex Turner's distinctive northern twang, Sheffield's most famous modern sons keep surprising with their storytelling. Looking to find out more about Arctic Monkeys tickets? Read on!

Arctic Monkeys burst onto the scene with their 2005 debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, as one of the first bands to come to public attention via the Internet. No. 1 singles like 'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor' and 'When the Sun Goes Down' became instant classics for their stories of British nights out.

Becoming the fastest selling debut album in British history, Whatever... hit No. 1 in the UK and went sextuple platinum, earning the band a Grammy nomination, two Brit Awards and the 2006 Mercury Prize. Every single one of their studio albums has followed it by hitting No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart. Tickets to see Arctic Monkeys have been very highly sought after ever since.

The band's 2007 second album Favourite Worst Nightmare proved to be a solid follow-up. Featuring the top five singles 'Brianstorm' and 'Fluorescent Adolescent', it went triple platinum in the UK and reached No. 7 in the US. 2009's Humbug and 2011's Suck It And See weren't as successful but still went platinum in the UK. Tickets to see the Arctic Monkeys live stayed gold dust.

Arctic Monkeys reinvented themselves with 2013's stunning AM. This dark, slinky, desert rock-tinged record was their biggest since their debut, thanks to singles like 'R U Mine?', 'Do I Wanna Know?' and 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?'. It proved the band's global breakthrough, and made the band the first indie band to hit the UK No.1 with their first five records.

The band threw another curveball in 2018, reappearing with the science fiction-influenced lounge pop album Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino. It proved divisive, spawning only one top 20 single 'Four Out Of Five'. Even so, it got two Grammy nominations and only expanded Arctic Monkeys' legend.

Taking in inspirations like Oasis, Queens of the Stone Age, Nick Cave, and The Strokes, there are few bands who capture Britain's imagination more than Arctic Monkeys. You can find the best Arctic Monkeys tickets right here at TickX.
